#79 of 101 in 1001, learn how to cook eggs – accomplished!

(Two perfect eggs, 2008)

I want to start by apologizing for the bad photo. Did I mention that I enrolled in photography classes? It’s just a shame that they don’t start for six more weeks!

Cooking eggs may seem like a simple task, but to me it’s a dreaded chore that I avoid like the plague. It doesn’t matter how I WANT to cook them, they always come out scrambled because I mess them up so badly. Eggs are hard, man! I think this flaw has also shamed my family. My father is, by far, the best egg man know to man. Each week an egg farmer delivers fresh eggs to our home and my dad can cook ‘em each way till Friday. He’s amazing, really. And I am their shame.

So imagine my surprise last night when making egg sandwiches for dinner, when I made not two, but FOUR, perfectly cooked, perfectly flipped eggs! One small step for Amy, one giant leap for, um, egg-kind? Oh boy, that is lame.
